PolyGone Partners with Wayout to Launch Microplastic Filtration Pilot in Dubai

October 14, 2025

PolyGone Systems successfully launched a 6-month pilot trial in Dubai in October, partnering with Wayout Water Systems. This collaboration signifies a joint effort to tackle one of the world's most pressing environmental challenges: microplastic pollution.

Wayout Water System is a Sweden-based water technology company that provides decentralized, circular solutions for drinking water. The company offers a self-contained, containerized "micro-factory" that purifies virtually any local water source (including river water or wastewater) into safe, mineralized drinking water. Deployed with the microplastic filter from PolyGone, the two companies will start a 6-month test trial to clean the water further, removing microplastics from water sources.

Yidian Liu, Co-Founder & COO of PolyGone Systems, shared, “There is nothing more exciting than seeing our 'baby' from a concept model to a built system! I am now excited to see more data coming out from this joint project, proving the concept of recovering microplastics from decentralized water treatment systems.”

The partnership between PolyGone Systems and Wayout represents a strong commitment to a shared vision: safeguarding the health of the water ecosystems and ensuring human drinking safety. By integrating advanced microplastic capture into decentralized water treatment, we are actively contributing to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable water cycle for current and future generations.
