FTIR - Advanced Microplastics Analysis

$699.00

Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopic (FTIR) imaging is an advanced analysis method used to identify the chemical composition of selected microplastics, helping you understand not just how many microplastics are in your water, but where they might be coming from.

By measuring how each particle absorbs infrared light, we can determine its unique "chemical fingerprint" – spectral signature. We then cross-reference these signatures against a comprehensive polymer library to confirm the exact plastic type (e.g., PE, PP, PET).

To ensure high reliability, we only report identifications with a ≥70% match confidence, supporting reliable quantification, classification, and source tracking of microplastics.

  • Purpose: Microplastic chemical identification

  • Timeframe: 10–15 business days

  • Report Deliverables: Chemical identification for selected particles (e.g., PE, PP, PET, PS)

Note: Accurate quote based on sample status.
