PolyGone Systems Co-Founders Win Edison Patent Emerging Tech Award

PolyGone Systems, a pioneer in removing microplastics from waterways, has achieved a major milestone: Co-Founders Nathaniel Banks and Yidian Liu have been honored with the Emerging Tech Award at the 46th Annual Edison Patent Awards presented by the Research & Development Council of New Jersey. This high-profile recognition highlights PolyGone's leadership in addressing one of the planet's most pressing environmental challenges: microplastic pollution.
The Edison Patent Awards represent New Jersey’s highest honor for invention and innovation, with recipients being carefully selected by members of the New Jersey R&D Council. Banks and Liu were recognized for their groundbreaking microplastic filtration technology.
The R&D Council acknowledged the system's real-world environmental impact, noting that PolyGone's innovative solution, launched in partnership with the Atlantic County Utilities Authority, has successfully removed over 580 million microplastics from New Jersey's waterways to date.
