Fabrication Intern

Responsibilities:
Assist with metal fabrication (cutting, drilling, grinding, basic welding support)
Support assembly of mechanical and fluid systems
Work from and help update CAD models and drawings
Prototype and iterate on design improvements (DFM-focused)
Collaborate with engineering on execution and problem-solving
Support preparation and on-site installation of a municipal-scale pilot system
Hard Requirements:
Must commit at least 40 hours per week to this position
Must be able to access our job site in Kearny, NJ
Must attend the office in person 5 days a week
Experience with metal fabrication, machining, or hands-on building
Ideal Candidate:
Familiarity with CAD (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
Comfortable using basic shop tools
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to work on-site and handle/lift materials
Passionate about environmental challenges and our mission at PolyGone
Interested in working with startups
Flexible and proactive in problem-solving
