Responsibilities:

• Assist with metal fabrication (cutting, drilling, grinding, basic welding support) 

• Support assembly of mechanical and fluid systems 

• Work from and help update CAD models and drawings 

• Prototype and iterate on design improvements (DFM-focused) 

• Collaborate with engineering on execution and problem-solving 

• Support preparation and on-site installation of a municipal-scale pilot system 

Hard Requirements: 

• Must commit at least 40 hours per week to this position

• Must be able to access our job site in Kearny, NJ

• Must attend the office in person 5 days a week

• Experience with metal fabrication, machining, or hands-on building 

Ideal Candidate:

• Familiarity with CAD (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) 

• Comfortable using basic shop tools 

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn 

• Ability to work on-site and handle/lift materials 

• Passionate about environmental challenges and our mission at PolyGone

• Interested in working with startups
