August 21, 2025

Kearny, NJ — August 21, 2025PolyGone Systems, a pioneer in microplastic removal technology, has expanded into new facilities in New Jersey to support its rapid growth and mission-driven work. The company’s new headquarters at Kearny Point, NJ, provides the assembly space and full-scale testing environment needed to accelerate development and deployment, and its lab at New Jersey Bioscience Center specializes in research infrastructure. Together, the new facilities allow PolyGone to scale operations, strengthen collaborations, and boost innovation in microplastic removal technology.

“Our expansion into Kearny Point and NJBC marks a major step forward for PolyGone,” said Yidian Liu, Co-Founder & COO of PolyGone Systems. “These facilities give us the space and resources to accelerate development, strengthen partnerships, and test our systems all in-house. Nathaniel Banks, Co-Founder and CEO of PolyGone Systems, added, “As a company born out of research and experimentation, having access to both the collaborative assembly space at Kearny Point and the scientific labs at New Jersey Bioscience Center is a game-changer. Having access to these specialized locations allows us to build upour commercial production capacity as well as integrate frontier analysis protocols for microplastic contaminants.”

The new space at Kearny Point, NJ, places PolyGone in a dynamic community hub that has become home to a diverse network of innovators, makers, and sustainable businesses. Situated on the waterfront in a historic shipyard now reimagined for the future, Kearny Point provides the ideal setting for PolyGone to scale operations and access talent from North Jersey and NY.

The NJ Bioscience Center Lab provides access to advanced research facilities, specialized equipment, and a vibrant biotech ecosystem. Here, PolyGone’s scientists can conduct specialized lab testing, pilot experiments, and collaborative research projects to verify the presence of microplastic pollutants and assess their commercial system’s performance in microplastic interception and recovery.

This expansion follows a year of major milestones for PolyGone, including recognition at the 46th Annual Edison Patent Awards, where the company was honored for its groundbreaking approach to intercepting and eliminating microplastics at their source. Along with the Earth 05 Co-Creation Award and the Albert Einstein Award for Innovation, These awards highlight the innovation at the core of PolyGone’s mission and underscore the importance of scaling its solutions.
